Meet Hiba, The Emotional Intelligence Expert
Welcome to HT Compassion, a space founded on the recognition that Emotional Intelligence (EI) is a critical, yet often underdeveloped skill, which has significantly contributed to the global mental and emotional health crisis. Consider these astonishing facts: Emotional Intelligence accounts for over 60% of personal and professional success. It influences 58% of job performance, and 90% of top workplace performers have high Emotional Intelligence (EQ). Empathetic leaders increase employee engagement by 76% and creativity by 61%, which directly leads to higher performance levels. Companies prioritizing EI are 22 times more likely to outperform those that do not.
Despite this compelling data, Hiba Tanvir realized that traditional approaches to EI development tend to be reactive. This led her to create HT Compassion, a consulting firm that proactively nurtures self-awareness, self-management, and relationship-building skills. Hiba combines cutting-edge brain research with a proven Harvard Business School approach to bring about long-lasting, transformative change in individuals and organizations.
Her dedication to this principle is reflected in her extensive qualifications, including the 'Building Personal Resilience: Managing Stress and Anxiety' coursework at Harvard University, a Master’s degree, Early Childhood Certification, Emotional Intelligence Practitioner accreditation, and Emotion Coaching Certification from the Gottman Institute. By strengthening EI, Hiba activates the “upstairs” brain, the center of empathy, compassion, and better decision-making, creating a more self-aware, emotionally intelligent, and high-performing workforce.
Hiba is also the creator of the "Man Up" program, designed to teach Emotional Intelligence to youth in Nigeria, and has customized EI programs for organizations and schools worldwide.
Beyond her professional achievements, Hiba is the visionary behind ‘Hope Kitchen,' a social enterprise providing dignified work opportunities to struggling women through a home-based catering business. Hope Kitchen has not only empowered several women with economic growth but also been featured in Dallas Morning News, Voice of America and other local publications. She has also taught emotional well-being classes to seniors, helping promote mental health across generations.
In her free time, Hiba enjoys traveling, exploring the mind and emotions through reading, and spending quality time with her two sons.
